I have only been diving scuba since the end of 2016, but since then I have logged over 600 dives (excluding instructional and training dives) in more than 25 countries, with over 600 hours underwater. I have dived on all seven of the world’s continents and in all five of its oceans, exploring diverse environments from limestone caves and coral reefs to cold-water wrecks and Arctic and Antarctic ice, and I have dived at depths of up to 100 meters (330 feet) and in waters as cold as -2 degrees C (28 degrees F).

I am certified GUE Cave Diver 2 and Technical Diver 1, TDI Advanced Trimix and Technical Sidemount, IANTD Advanced Cave - Survey Diver, SDI Solo Diver, PADI Ice Diver, and ScubaPro Resort Technician. I am also a PADI scuba instructor (Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver), and specialties that I am certified to teach include: Adaptive Diver, Caribbean Lionfish Containment Diver, Deep Diver, Emergency Oxygen Provider, Enriched Air Nitrox, Equipment Specialist, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Sidemount Diver (Distinctive Specialty), Tec Rec Gas Blender (Nitrox/Trimix), and Wreck Diver.

While I am not a full-time dive professional, I dive as frequently as I can, and my ongoing goal is to further my evolution as a diver and to continue exploring the myriad facets of the underwater world. In this era of climate change, social upheaval, and ecological catastrophe, it’s more important than ever before to be actively aware of our planet and our relationship to it, and few activities connect you to the natural world as intimately as diving does.
